Meet David W. Blunt, MHA, CHE, CHFP
David Blunt is the President and Founder of Actionable Analysis, LLC., a results-driven, solutions oriented consulting business based in Evansville, Indiana.
David is a strong business leader in health care operations with 22 years of broad-based experience in financial planning, decision support and cost accounting. David specializes in performance improvement to create, develop and deliver, innovative, value-added operational enhancements for above average financial performance and clinical quality. He easily collaborates with senior leadership, all levels of clinical and financial staff, attorneys, board of directors and other stakeholders to attain benchmark success for healthcare organizations.
With over 14 years of financial management experience in the healthcare industry, David has worked for leading faith-based and community-based health systems and hospitals throughout United States and in Toronto, Canada.
Background and Affiliations
David received an MHA in Health Administration from the University of Ottawa (Ontario, Canada). He completed pre-professional work in the Bachelor of Administrative Studies program, with concentrations in Accounting, Marketing, and Organizational Behavior, at York University (Toronto, Canada). He also received a BS in Human Kinetics, with a Minor in Business Administration, from the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada).
He is certified by HFMA as a Certified Healthcare Finance Professional (CHFP). He also maintains active memberships in the American College of Healthcare Executives (where he is a FACHE-candidate member), the California Association for Healthcare Quality, and the Canadian College of Healthcare Leaders, which certifies him as a Certified Healthcare Executive (CHE).
David is a sought after thought leader in the area of decision support and cost accounting in healthcare financial management. He has given presentations and education sessions both regionally and nationally for the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
